From context clues, Mechmum and Jets lived out in the sticks, Jets went to school, was either bullied or hanged out with nerds, walked to school instead of getting driven the long way, and she didn't get along with her mom, because her mom was very busy. So I am guessing that Mechmum is a single mom, who raised a daughter by working multiple jobs. And then Jets went to mech studies, learned some art, moved out on her own, got depressed during pandemic, started vtubing after getting hate for the idea, made it big, and decided to stick with it.
