We fucking nailed it, if you were honestly concerned about Pomu the burnout when Nina left was the biggest sign. On those Firewatch streams she felt strong, like she had put herself together and made plans for her future despite the bad situation. It was already at that stage Pomu was serious since she really wanted to be an idol. NijiEN held not just her back but the rest of the talents as well. There isn't an excuse when other companies were able to perform / organize their own things.

The word idol lost the core of its meaning in the current world (at least online). There are a lot of bells and whistles surrounding the term like dancing, singing, not saying no-no words, etc. But at the core why people love idols is because they are made to interact with every single person the same. The smelliest, ugliest, most autistic, fattest otaku is treated the same as a multi millioner supermodel and everything else comes from that. No boyfriend rule is because it implies that there is someone more special than all the other fans. No sex talk is because sex implies one person being above the rest. They know about sex, they just don't talk about it and don't want to learn more about it for that very reason. Dancing, singing, acting etc. is so that every fan that wants to enjoy it, can without being barred by social standards. Being pretty, speaking politely, being courteous is what attracts people to want to interact with them. And so on and on and on.

People in vtubing industry looked at the surface level, misunderstood shit and now think that idol is someone who doesn't swear and pretends to be a retard that didn't get basic level sex education.

For many EN vtubers being able to put on 3D performances is likely what they consider important. Pomu not being able to get a 3D model limited her to VRChat and while many vtubers consider that good enough that is something indie vtubers can use. Nijisanji was taking most of her money while providing little in return.
