- Expressions
- Other noteworthy details others might miss on first glance

That way you have full creativity on the outlook of the model. Skebs are supposed to be quick and convenient for people that want art but don't ever have specific ideas.

The drawbacks are you didn't read the skeb TOS. You will have no input on how your model is done, what will be made of it, no ability to contact the artist to make revisions or changes or to add/subtract from the design, and doing any of those things can result in both of you being banned from the site because skeb is not a transactional purchase site. Its a request. "Dear artist please draw a thing I like." The art that gets drawn still belongs to the artist. The model is never yours because skeb does not sell art.

Like I said, skeb is a REQUEST site. It doesn't work the same way as commissions do, and you're basically begging them to draw your character. IF they do accept the request, you're screwed and won't have any creative changes on the model if you ever want an upgrade or a new outfit, as per skeb's TOS you cannot contact the artist offsite after completion to ask for changes.

If you're okay with burning money, go for it.

I think I need to clarify how the elements coexist on the model.

- The default state is the sleeveless Hawaiian shirt.
- The black rashguard was added as a "less noisy" alternative and is a redeemable blendshape.
- The plate carrier is a separate prop, that is either redeemed by chat or equipped for topical streams
- The rifle is not currently integrated, however I will be adding a low ready idle pose with a Sig Rattler. I will likely try to add some traditional patterns to it, similar to how Blue Archive does it for Wakamo

Completely dropping the operator schtick is a no-go bcs:
1. I like it
2. it helps with the /tac/ appeal and I like the people there

Adding traditional yoroi elements to the tactical drip like the other anon suggested is a fascinating idea, and I look forward to doing that when I get around to doing Blender work.

I'm not who you are talking to, but Im also not a huge fan of the tactical stuff. Mostly it's partially because it's not that asthetically nice to look at. The vest is just not something that is designed to look good or cool necessarily. It's functionality over form design wise, not bad for everyday uses but in this case, as clothing for a vtuber, form is the only function. It's also a bit of a clash design wise, seeing a demon guy wearing such an ordinary and honestly mundane thing makes me scratch my head. It's like seeing a magic forest fairy wear a cheap hoody that they got from Walmart, why?

Why not play into the demonic motif a bit more. Enhance that armor with some demonic sigils, physical protection is great, why not add some magic protection to it. How about using some kind of now obsolete historical Japanese armor with added demon stuff to it. Anything to reduce the clash between something ordinary being worn by someone why is anything but.

The gun and the gi (or whatever that loose martial arts gear is called) have a similar problem but maybe not to that degree.

I think there are a number of settings that use this kind of modern military tech influenced by demonic magic. Off the top of my head I think of Doom and Hellgate London. Might be good to look around for inspiration.

IMO denpas problem is that she relies so much on doing shocking and dramatic stuff for attention. The people she attracts by doing that kind of stuff will likely only watch her when she is doing crazy shit, and the audience that likes her normal streaming style will be kind of turned off by this very growth hungry "my audience is never good enough I need more numbers" kind of mentality.

There are two parts to growing an audience as vtuber, reaching new people and maintaining the people you already have. I believe Denpa needs to work harder on the second. I don't believe anybody in Denpa's audience feels like they are appreciated by her, that's one of the biggest reasons why it is important to not talk about numbers and not being satisfied ever. If all you do is look up you won't notice the people below you who have been supporting you leaving.

Eh I feel at that point I just wanted an exit out because modding a lot of aspies (men who are insanely online when I’m employed) felt like a lot of work. I got fed up that people would use my discord channels to stream and people joining the call didn’t warn them they were streaming. And sure, I invited people with numbers but at that point it felt like no one was prioritizing on their own content anymore. Now, I don’t have discord anymore and I barely talk to anyone outside of twitter dms, haven’t felt a need to have a menhera breakdown these past weeks.
It’s nice to be friends with other vtubers, but a lot of aspies forget to prioritize their existing, viewers who wouldn’t stream. Don’t forget about those viewers, okay? It’s nice to make friends in this community but the headache of socializing will get in the way of your own community. Discord is definitely a distraction.

Hi, design anon from last thread. Continuing where I left off because some people asked.

I know you're going for loli, but the way this artist drew it definitely still gives me loli vibes. She's very cute and petite and I love how the overall design flows with the theme.
But I'm not gonna judge the art.

I'm VERY glad this is the one that won. I did love your original design, and I'm glad that the artist took inspiration from your existing one, but this is... perfect. The silhouette test makes this model extremely unique and the veil stands out the most to me with the long twintails to perfectly accent the petite body. I love the gold accents, and the way they added accessories to the tail to make it tie in with the whole outfit is... chefs kiss. The braid is a cute nice touch to tie in the red to more parts of the outfit.

I mentioned this in a previous post, but when picking colors, there should be a single color that overtakes the whole scene compared to the others. The other colors are supposed to compliment and accent it to make a unique, eye catching design. This is a great example, because it's... I'd say, 80% blue, 40% black, and 15% red and white. The gradient on the outfit as well as the ears are really well done and I love the colors used.

It's giving me nun gypsy vibes. Almost occultist if it was more black than blue. Overall I love how the artist went the blue direction than with green. Green did work with your colors, but I think this one fits much better with your design.

Genuinely have no complaints, I adore this design and I can't wait to see more of it. If you think it looks too busy, I can understand that. I'd suggest removing the arm warmers or the pendants on the forehead and chest. But it all blends really well together.

I'm gonna use Ria as an example because I love her design very much, but Ria is only wearing a bodysuit and goggles. She pulls off this look really well despite it being simple because of the overall nature of her design and how it's pulled off.
You /can/ choose to keep to comfy, baggy options if you don't want to have the kind of lewd archetype vibe (even though I don't physically see less clothing = lewd especially with bigger body types) but there are options.
Personally, I see her rocking a super cool unique bodysuit with a cropped baggy sweater with long sleeves. Don't be afraid to show off tummy with tight clothing, but if you are you could make her wear a suit or uniform of some kind. To tie the mask in, maybe something like Akira Sunazuka from Idolm@ster, but instead of a skirt maybe try pants if that's more your style.
Also, not much done with the yellow glasses on the overall design... maybe try incorporating some yellow into the outfit as well.Try adding sole yellow/gold accessories, like rings or necklaces or a chain somewhere. Maybe... just because she's a demon, maybe elf ears? It's a personal preference at that point, I love the look and it seals the deal with the demon motif.

Otherwise, I think it passes the silhouette test pretty well. I don't have many complaints about it.

Super love this. I can already tell what vibe you're going for based off of the outfit.

Silhouette is pretty good, the collar for the jacket gives it a flair and I really like it.

One thing I will say though is for someone who's motif is a diamond, there are better ways to incorporate them. Instead of diamond pupils, try crystal eyes. Eyes that shine like diamonds, and consider a lot more accessories than just a necklace and earrings. Don't be afraid to experiment with different earring/piercing styles.

Also the necklace feels a bit too plain for someone who has a literal rock around their neck. Look up some diamond jewlery for reference, maybe get some rings too to seal the deal on the "rich" look. I mean, he's a diamond, so it would make sense to give him that motif.

Otherwise, the outfit feels more cyberpunk/streetwear. I like how it's executed, but also part of me feels like something is missing...

Maybe the accessories would definitely help, but I also might suggest trying different shoes. Converse styles are fun, but... overdone. Boots might look cool, with blue gradient laces maybe?

My god, I love this. I love the zombie puppet doll aesthetic a lot, and this is extremely well executed.

I love the different colored hands/skin and the super long coat with the stitching. His sunken in eyes gives me the creepy cute vibes and I overall adore this style.

If I had to suggest something, maybe play around with hair color. I do like that it's plain white, but I also picture something two-toned to match his skin and the stitching. Maybe messy hair with loose hair strands too might look cool, but it's personal preference.

This is such a unique design and I love how it was executed. The silhouette definitely looks unique and eye catching, and I love the eye motif included not just in the wings but on the face as well.

If I were to suggest something, I think it would be cooler if she couldn't use her hands and her sleeves weren't open, like an actual straitjacket except she isn't bound with her arms to her sides.
Maybe making the belts around the waist "loose" with the belt tails sticking out to give it an almost "crazy" look, but entirely up to you.

Funding is a major problem here, yes. Lots of /asp/ies from poorer countries, lots of NEETs with no income, etc. I have the funding for a nice model but didn’t splurge when picking one because I have a policy where I don’t make big hobby purchases until >1 year of doing the hobby consistently.

I know everyone says that you should start by using a free / inexpensive model but i don't think that's true anymore today if you want eyes on you and not immediately be cast aside. Labor of love is 99% of aspies. If you want to make it big and stream fulltime you'll have a really hard time and obviously a very different strategy.
Most people here need to first know if they really enjoy streaming to begin with, so of course the advice is to not spend tons of money right at the start.
Streaming is also a skill that needs to be learned and only a few are a natural at. If you dream of making it big start small and learn before you invest too much into something with so little chance of working out.

This is all also only for fun. I've been designing characters for many years and I also was an art major before I switched when I realized that wasn't gonna pay the bills. I love to spread knowledge of both self taught and professionally taught to help people with their visual profiles.
I also have my own personal preferences and favorite aesthetics, so I take the preferences and whatnot of the person behind the screen into consideration when offering critique, as well as views from both a viewer and a fellow streamer.
