That's why outliers like Mito being a freak and Coco being a foul mouthed ass became so popular back then, because people were burning out on CGDCT
Now that exact meta has shifted into "hurr hurr unironic weeb/sex everywhere" with barely any kayfabe at all on the EN side, and it's one of the reasons why the dogs are getting so popular, because now it feels fresh after so much edgy shit. Take notice too how in many of the indie corpos the design of the vtubers are inclining a lot more on the cute side, regardless of how the actual talent acts, because of the same phenomenon.
