I had a chance to dig around for that KR wiki after yesterday's stream. t. wiki-autist, so sorry for the wall of text.
Apparently it's slightly bigger than KR Wikipedia, but less strict in moderation, to the point of multiple disclaimers on the main page and in Korean internet culture not to use it as a reliable source. Using it in coursework, for example, would be akin to referencing Encyclopedia Dramatica or some shit. Wikipedia explicitly mentions that articles are intended to be tongue in cheek. Nobody with a brain in Korea should be using it authoritatively.
To say it's "like 4chan" isn't accurate in my opinion. There's a similar basic post form on the "news" part of the site, but the wiki is well, just a regular wiki. There's no comment box or anything, and the "discuss" feature is a regular old article talk page. The UI is so similar to MediaWiki I (an EOP with no in browser translate) could navigate just by looking at URLs.
The part she took issue with was added originally in 2021, and then expanded on in 2022. The first was done by an IP edit, and the second done by a user. Neither look particular "malicious", just typical meme stuff.

There was a way easier way to deal with this than bringing it up halfway through Mario in a cagey way and it would have saved Kiara a bunch of worry and stress in the process. IT'S A FUCKING WIKI, you just go to the page and hit the edit button on the top right. It would be even easier for her, since her Korean is somewhat jouzu. Or she could have asked Kronii "Kronii, can you go to this URL and delete the part that compares me with mustache man please?".
There's even a report / mod help form on the main page, which is overkill in my book but it would have accomplished the same thing if Jenma filled it out and said "libel" a few times or whatever.

An edit is around 3 clicks. Edit -> text field -> Submit. It works just like any other wiki, that's what shocked me with all the roundabout discussion about it.

Seriously tho, yeah sure, there were probably better ways to remediate the issue via some various back channels on the down low instead of a public callout, which only sheds more unnecessary light on the issue, streisand effect and all that. Though it's not really a typical drama "yab" anyway where the usual common sense "never comment or acknowledge anything, it'll never solve anything and just exacerbates the issue" rule applies. The hotel with enough nights to cover the weekend (so I wouldn't be trying to do something like nap in an airport terminal) was ~950 euros, just over $1000 in USD. Airfare started at $1,500 from my city, with fun options like "9 hour layover" and "absolutely positively non-refundable non-reschedulable get fucked". Getting that to mostly direct with Economy and setting baggage stuff upfront bought the total up, basically by $1000.

Even considering the pain of the last hour souring the finale a bit, I think Metroid Prime was my favorite series of the whole year. Kiara doing something completely new to her and succeeding was great and I hope she will try the other Prime games as well.
For non-gaming, Shark Tank was insanely good and so was the first boardgame collab with Laplus.
Tangentially related, but I think Kiara has evolved recently in terms of entertainment, she has definitely grown bolder in terms of what kind of jokes she cracks, and Yakuza will be the first series where we will enjoy this new Wawa from start to finish, and I can feel it in my bones that her playthrough will be legendary.

I'm a nintendo baby and other insults /v/ loves to bandy around, and those playthroughs were really easy to keep up with. I don't dislike JRPGs, but I could never play along to Yakuza or FE or ToA.

I never truly understood what the concept of an oshi meant till this year, I've seen countless tweets and stories on how people's oshi helped them through times, but I never understood what it mean till 2023, I lost my home, my father and my oldest cat in that order, and a single attempt at helping a kitten that was to far gone ended in tragedy as well, to say 2023 kicked my ass would be an understatement.
But I can say that watching Kiara helped, amid all the gloom I at least had something to look forward to, obviously it didn't mask the pain of all the grief but at least for a few months I could listen to a chicken woman ramble on about random shit and forget abou my misery for a bit.

Thank you Wawa for making my 2023 a little better.

Totk and mario rpgs were great. Very comfy and fun to watch.
BG3 solo and collab were some of my favorites, but sucks that they never got to finish it.
