not really, it's probably just because getting actual attention from a Holo is a highlight of her career so it's no wonder she's currently enjoying it so much currently. It'll calm down over time.

As for what they usually do, from my cursory glance at the group's contents, it's about a third of the time normal vtuber stuff like playing games, karaoke, chatting, then maybe around a third just goofing off in VRchat because that's apparently the roots of the group and they occasionally hold events (they also seem a bit more liberal with male interaction), and yep a last third of the time they are really just chilling and checking what Kiara calls "that korean site that's a mix of reddit and...." (cmon say it Wawa, you know you want to), mostly reacting to news and clips of themselves and their own group but also just anything funny etc. Sure, it may not look particularly interesting to an outsider, and it'd be hard to imagine HoloEN doing that (plus here it has that negative stigma of lazy twitch reaction meta), but eh whatever, their fans seem to really enjoy it, so who am I to judge.

I'd tell you that the korean vtuber thread is probably a better place to ask if you want to get answers from people who are better informed about isegye, but apparently they mostly just talk about vnu which is just headquartered in korea but their talents are just normal english streamers, and very little talk about actual korean vtubers.

Co-op horror game where the players try to salvage sellable things from abandoned facilities. Dungeons are generated based on seed and they are littered with pitfalls and stationary threats, plus as time progresses, beasts also spawn. Players have to reach a certain quota in 3 days and then at the end cash in their loot. If they succeed, they get paid out and spend their earned money on better equipment, but they also get a new, higher quota they need to reach in another 3 days. If they fail to reach it or the team wipes, it's game over.
While I said horror, it's really not that scary and there's a ton of goofy shit in the game which brighten the atmosphere, even the monsters are very silly looking. Also a ton of opportunities to be a dick to your friends and kill them in hilarious ways.

Sounds... kinda fun actually? Why do some people seem have a hateboner for it, is it just because they're already sick of it being streamer fotm or does the game have some actual problems?
For what it's worth, what I didn't like about Phasmo (as a viewer, never played it myself anyways) was too often especially with players who didn't know what they're doing the game becomes a boring slog where you spend minutes searching nondescript rooms for some last hidden clues and not much is happening and it's kinda lame to watch. And on the other hand, watching experienced players zip through the game because they already figured everything out easily is not very entertaining either, so eh...

I assume you're talking about the hateboner on 4chan: it's because anons are insufferable contrarians. While it's a bit barebones and oozes zoomer humor, there's a good concept behind the game, just like Phasmo did when it got popular, but Phasmo leaned too much into providing a challenge (because that's the main focus of the gameplay loop in Phasmo: solving cases on higher and higher difficulty levels), whereas Lethal Company is better for newbies and just having fun together. Also /hlgg/ hates it because it got popular with other streamers first and the holos are the last on the train.

Honestly never really had a problem like this. I just watch the talents I like to watch, i.e. Wawa and a few others, and whatever they're playing is mostly fine by me, as I watch for the girl not the game anyway. They could be playing "Extreme Paint Drying Simulator 3000" for all I care, as long as they're cute and entertaining during it.

Yeah sure, opening up the Holodex or other schedule sites and seeing [current FOTM game XYZ whatever] plastered all over can be kinda annoying, but then I remind myself that I'd never watch 90 % of those streams anyway, not because of the game but because the streamers don't interest me, so who cares not my problem. And one "bonus" of Wawa not really caring so much about FOTM games, and me only really watching Wawa, is that on the rare occasions she does play one, it's also still fresh for me as well.
