My position on this was always, that the Kiara Calli collabs are kino. They have great interactions and are obviously friends. She's SO funny, she has this very weird outside-the-box way of looking at things, she comes up with the most strange tangents and just follows their own internal logic with total confidence that her audience is keeping up with her, it gives that kind of feeling you get from anime like Lucky Star or Yuyushiki where it reminds me of the strange hypothetical conversations I used to have with my nerdy friends as a kid, where she'll just be playing Animal Crossing and she'll be like "wait isn't that kind of weird?" about some specific element of the story and it's just so pleasant to laugh at the things she notices that I would have otherwise overlooked. I just get this really intimate nostalgic feeling watching Kiara, like she's exactly the kind of girl I would have fallen for hard when I was younger, she's this blend of "manic pixie dream girl" in the way she yanks people out of their comfort zones (in collabs for instance), and authentic nerd who loves "hidden gem" media and wants to strongly recommend you that one anime you've never heard of that she personally thinks is amazing. She's just fucking great dude. Everything about her is just exactly what I love in a girl. She's my dream girl. And all I gotta do is just tune in and watch her play video games and listen to her adorably babble at them and chase bizarre tangents and I don't have to say a word, or lift a finger, or sustain a relationship. It just rules, it fills me with love.
