I stand by my Twitch theory - Twitch evolved over the last decade such that the majority of streamers cater to EU hours, so EU viewers naturally head over there. However, the stream options for NA after-work hours fall off a sheer cliff, meaning there was room for HoloEN to grab an underserved market. But that also means that the majority of EU is watching Twitch so there's the friction of jumping platforms when there's already a plethora of options just while staying on Twitch.

I also argue that's why "NA primetime" happened for HoloEN, because that's also the timeframe when all the EU-centric Twitch streamers end and the NA-based ones clock out of their "9-5" at the same time as you. Because it sure as shit isn't a YouTube advantage - the old VoD numberfag tactic is to release your stuff at the current hour (~20:00 GMT) so you could segue the EU viewership into the NA viewership, and most EN-centric content creators still follow this strategy.

I do wonder why Roca and IdolEN in general could not capitalize the EU market. They even got huge debut numbers where consistent 1K+ CCV was expected. Same with Phase talents like Panko, NijiEN talents like Pomu, Nina, Enna who used to regularly stream in these hours. Kaela is an interesting case who gets good numbers in these hours but her peaks were in late NA and pre JP primetime hours and Kaela's chat during these hours seems mostly Indonesian usernames whenever I watched her streams.
