I ended up finding some time to catch up on the stream earlier than expected after Christmas festivities ended, after all. The stream ended up being a lot more focused on the call ins, so Fubuki and Polka didn't actually end up talking much among themselves. Towards the end, Polka asked Fubuki how she felt about getting her visual renewal this year. Fubuki replied that it kind of gave rise to a sense of wanting people to look at her more. This made Polka act like an Ojisan for a bit. It's pretty nice to hear that she feels that way and wants our attention like that, she has only ever expressed that desire during her live performances in the last couple of years. Fubuki then said she was really nervous about the whole thing. The process took about half a year until it came to fruition and she really couldn't wait to show it off to us, but at the same time, she knew that some people would probably prefer the old her, so it was a bit scary and nerve-racking for her too when the day finally came.

Polka and Fubuki also had previously planned to do a scratch lottery ticket battle stream together soon, so Fubuki bought 200 tickets, but Polka forgot to buy any (and apparently it's too late now?). She then remember that she bought a ton of similar tickets for a different lottery in the summer for a stream she never ended up making and still has them lying around somewhere, and apparently they only expire after a year, so she will join Fubuki and just use these. Apparently, she bought about 2000 of them. Fubuki said she went way overboard with the number. Polka warned her that if any of them wins a huge amount of money they have to keep quiet about it during the stream and play it cool until the end. Fubuki said in case she wins something, she will probably be very nervous but will try to ignore it and turn her mouth into Miffy-chan's mouth. They agreed to consider JPY 100,000 or above a large amount for this purpose.

They were very happy with how the stream turned out, they didn't really plan anything and didn't ask anyone beforehand and just improvised it all. Apparently, the two of them never really plan much and just go with the flow when they do collabs together, the rice stream was the same. They expected this to be mostly a zatsudan with a couple of calls in but they ended up finding a ton of people this late at night during Christmas so they went much longer than they thought. The call ins where pretty fun too, good mix of people they were already familiar with and people they barely ever talked to. I thought it was interesting that Fubuki called Sumire, who neither of them had talked to, just because she had been following her and watching her clips for a while and was interested in getting to know her. It's nice to see her be proactive like that once in a while. Pretty good stream overall.

I've always thought that after awhile she stopped liking asmr's. At first, like you said, she did them every month publicly but then it switched to sometimes member, to always member, and now they're just zatsudans. I get the feeling she always liked that aspect of it as she likes talking about things, but always felt she had to do the roleplay and kinda gfe content as well which I don't think she ever necessarily liked or stopped liking it. Yeah, it's probably something along these lines. A bit of a shame, she always seemed like she was having fun back when she did it on a regular basis but I can see her getting annoyed with always being asked to do the same things (e.g. yandere/mesugaki roleplay) over and over again, especially if she's not all that into it to begin with. I think she might also be kind of annoyed at the comments she gets occasionally where people say that the title of her ASMR streams are a clickbait scam because they are just zatsudans. I'm sure these are just supposed to be a joke but the way she has reacted to them in the past feels like she takes them seriously, so maybe she just wants people not to expect it so that she doesn't feel pressured into doing it when she doesn't feel like it. I also remember her mentioning it's annoying to talk into the KU100 because you have to either talk into the right or the left ear and not just straight from the front. Maybe she didn't realize that before she bought it and it doesn't really work very well with her set up so she just doesn't want to deal with using it.

I was just a little surprised hat she said that this year's mengen have been too sweet and she wants to reduce that a little in 2024 when I had the impression that she had already been steadily reducing that kind of content since early 2022 or so. I get the idea that she enjoys having fun talking and getting excited with us like in yesterday's stream more, but I hope she doesn't stop it entirely and just makes it rare like Kuro streams.

The whole "too sweet" thing's a bit weird cause on one hand, I have no idea what that actually implies and only have heard her say that starting around a couple months ago and two, if you compared this year's asmr to a year like 2021 it's crazy that she considered this "too sweet" maybe the phone roleplay but everything else was basically the same and was rarely ever not mostly a zatsudan which only adds to my confusion on what is considered "sweet". I don't think that's exactly what it is, she isn't violently opposed to people falling for her and she always thanks those that do instead of telling them off or anything. To me it sounded like she just enjoys interacting with us and having fun together as friends would a lot more, so she wants to preserve this kind of relationship with us and being "too sweet" would make it difficult for her to maintain the required "sense of distance" (距離感バグってる). Might just be a diplomatic way to phrase it to make it sound like the issue is on her side, though, because this didn't seem to be an issue before. I also think she was getting tired of having the obligation to do it every month. For some reason she seemed a lot more motivated to do it when it was still public. I agree that the phone roleplay was the only one in recent memory that I would even consider sweet content, so like you said, it's a bit confusing what she is even referring to. Flare wrote something in her chat and she talked about having her come visit her soon. Up until recently, her apartment was full of boxes and not really all that presentable and thus unsuitable for visitors. In the past five years, no Holomen except for Mio has ever been to her house, but recently, she had a couple of members come over that wanted to play with her cats. She used that as an opportunity to do a big cleaning action in preparation for their visit and emptied all her drawers and boxes and sorted through all of her stuff, rearranged her figures and got rid of some stuff and clothes she doesn't need anymore, and now her place looks a lot better. It's still far from perfect, but she intends to work a bit more on it and invite some people over to her place to have an off-collab for the first time this year.

Also, Miko-Santa gave her an update on her present. It looks like their trip is happening and Mikosan figured out a good place to go. However, she didn't tell Fubusan any details and intends to organize everything by herself. She is a bit nervous about the prospect of Mikosan doing everything by herself and imagined some scenarios such as Mikosan forgetting to make reservations and them having to sleep outside. She is thinking about bringing a sleeping bag just in case. That made her think of a scenario in which Miko invested all the money into camping gear and them going on a camping trip like in Yurucamp.
