2's only saving grace is Majima's epilogue for his Zero storyline.

3-5 is skippable. Akiyama is the only good thing that came out of it. Saejima is irrelevant to the plot. Daigo is a whiny pissbaby.

You lose some context about the orphanage, which Gaiden's ending revolves around, but 7 is Ichi's story and although 6 was a fun enough as a game, the story sucks.
