as much as i wish this is true, there is reason why companies would rather hire fresh grads with better grades if all else being equal. if most people get As then it stops becoming a differentiator for employers. from where i live it has become a thing that employers start to look for fresh grads with a billion internships completed on top of good grades to differentiate from all the other straight A fresh grads because they have become a dime a dozen. the competition has shifted from something that you can reasonably control like studying and doing well in exams to something often outside your control like tapping on family connections to get internship/job opportunities.

It wasn’t really “chasing her off the internet” since she had already deleted all her social media and stopped using it years ago. Lots of people misunderstood the situation because it happened so fast but she didn’t really “sell” the game or quit it, she was transferring the game to the name of a small game company that she and her husband own, which they made years ago for some games that never panned out. However because of this fans on 4chan were able to look up the studio to find out some of her background information although not too much was directly posted. This got reposted to sharty since they couldn’t find anything on their own and they just posted everything they could find with the new information in an attempt to attack her. Since she had already quit social media years ago all the information was old and out of date, basically only proving she was a real biological woman with a husband. And perhaps also giving the game some positive publicity and thousands of sales by making her look good.
Due to the timing of the transfer people thought it was because of the doxxing but it was really the other way around. There were some posts at that time by Kit9, likely her husband, on steam trying to explain and assuage people’s fears and Nemlei did so herself again (twice) in the latest devlog by letting people know she’s still doing all the writing and art for the game like before and isn’t going to change or censor anything from her intentions for the game.
