What I’m saying is Sayu would clearly have fit in better at Phase than Niji that I wonder if future holorejects will start viewing them as a second option instead.
Remember, when NijiEN first came out, their reputation was “HoloEN if you could curse and make more sex jokes.” Phase Connect is basically CGDCT by pottymouthed menheras, while NijiEN is now the company that panders to twittards who don’t even watch streams.
I’m only saying this because in retrospect Sayu was possibly the worst fit for NijiEN in history, and now I’m wondering if she joined only because at the time it was the default for anyone who didn’t get into Hololive.

Ultimately Cover made the right call, because they put out a notice beforehand saying “Whatever talents do behind the scenes is their own business”, not only serving as a defense but also doubling as a way to wash their hands off of the dumb shit they could get up to. It was basically one way for them to avoid possibly getting dragged into any drama, in terms of reputation or potentially legal drama in their country.
Anycolor went full retard with their manifesto because regardless of how you feel about Zaion, they brought up examples of crimes other livers were guilty of committing. The end result wasn’t good for the mental health of the fanbase, because it made them paranoid that at any point their oshi could get terminated in the same exact way, and it probably made new hires think long and hard about joining. Anycolor wasn’t able to move past it either because they damn near got involved in drama for every month afterwards, especially the Krisis leaks where one rumored nepohire basically said “fuck this, this isn’t worth it”. Nevermind the graduations of two big hitters that got poached and bragged about finally getting silver play buttons.
