APEX seems like a vtuber fad that's not going away soon even though Baqua is bad at it. Can someone explain how APEX works for us folks that don't play it?

i've watched quite a bit of apex by now and I am fairly sure you are supposed to shoot the enemies while trying not to get shot yourself and then repeat

Japan is the second biggest region for Apex so you'll see a lot for vtubers anon

Teams of three, 20 teams total. You must be last squad alive to win. Fairly decent size map, a circle tightens bringing players closer and closer together so you can't just hide at edge of map. The circle can be seen on map, if you are outside it you take damage, longer match goes on more damage and smaller the circle becomes. There's a fair amount of legends and they all have unique abilities and passive. There's also different tiers of loot, Grey low tier blue decent tier purple good tier orange and red items rare tier

It's a pretty simple shooters with shields alongside health. Each fighter has different abilities. What makes the game fun are two things: fun and/or competent streamers and tournaments so you get invested in the team you're following. The problem with Apex in the vtuber community is that many streamers around Silver to Platinum make it their biggest content without trying to make it interesting.
Btw, I think Aqua is pretty good but it's more interesting to follow a team than a single player.

It's a lot more accessible than say PubG too, or maybe the cheating isn't such an issue. I usually manage to scrape through Apex rather than PubG.

I wouldn't say Baqua is bad at it. It's just that she spends less time compared to other chuubas that have APEX as their focal content. It's either you concentrate on one forte, or make songs, minecraft, collabs and shit.

I think about playing apex sometimes, but I already know how it would turn out. I'd get addicted for years, spend all my time playing it, play enough to be better than most but still nothing special and become increasingly bitter and angry at the game and the teammates.

That being said APEX stream kinda generate lot's of clip.
The interaction between teammate can makeup for the lack in engaging gameplay.

From what I've heard she's actually one of the better players but she's too autistic for team play and that's why she fucks up in tournaments. She's apparently really good soloing against randoms
