i think the best step you could make is to avoid DMs, and to use social media purely in the 'blog' way some ppl do, which is just posting on the TL and only talking to ppl publicly. it puts a little more of a barrier between u and others, and its what helped my friends a lot as they were struggling with being way too close to people and that was what made them split the most - they only use twitter for example to post and reply on the TL and dont DM anyone theyve met through vtubing.

lack of dms also means that even if they maybe do still split on someone and end up doing stuff they regret, they dont have to deal with as bad a fallout as they like dont have any material on ppl that isnt public
