I’ve been seeing this girl for a little over 2 months now, and I’ve made it a point to hide my power level as much as possible. She’s really sweet but I just have a feeling that she’d fucking freak if she knew I spent my free time simping over another woman (understandably).

I feel guilty, but I can’t just stop watching my oshi, it’s been too long.

I feel like I’m a cheating asshole, and I really don’t wanna be. I know this is a ticking time bomb and I don’t know what to do.

I tried to get my GF into my Oshi and some other VTubers I liked, but it absolutely didn't work. At least she liked Pekora MGS streams (videos with english subs), but that was probably a combination of her seeing me play trough those games before and Pekora just not being sexy.

if this isn't a troll post, i guess evaluate why you follow your oshi. i think a lot of people use it as a substitute for female contact. as others have said you've got the real thing so do you need it? it can be hard to break habits and you can become emotionally dependent on your oshi instead of real people so I guess evaluate why you do it. if it's because you find them funny or you find them entertaining, it's not cheating really is it? and if it's for relationship-unrelated reasons and your gf doesn't like it, then i would say the problem is with her, not you.

When you get the real thing, you're much more resilient to becoming a gosling or catching parasocial feelings. Right now, I only watch chuubas purely out of entertainment, both for myself, for my wife and for my marriage.

2 months is a very young relationship, but if you want to make it last a long time while being exclusive to each other, I recommend you start disassociating any romantic feelings you have for your oshi and instead pour that affection into your GF. If your GF doesn't appreciate your affection or reciprocate it (or if she's unwilling to accept your hobby of watching vtubers), then you should dump her and go back to your oshi, because your oshi can never say no as a result of not even knowing you.
