-competition in the form of other corpos force cover to keep doing better, without it they'd just sit on their laurels as king of a stagnant market
-competition from indies is needed because those are the ones who more often branch out and innovate the industry because there's more of them and the consequences of failure are much smaller. also, because they don't have the resources that a corpo has they're often more creative in how they achieve things which can have large knock-on effects down the line
-a healthy vtuber industry outside of hololive is required for two reasons, it grows the market that hololive can appeal to and it provides a talent pool from which hololive can draw from
you'd have to be retarded to think that hololive would survive if the entire rest of the vtubing industry collapsed

I like watching people play video games. The girls under Cover have to jump through rings of fire, sacrifice children, cut off their own fingers, and fax themselves kneeling to Capcom, Konami, and Square Enix regularly just to get permissions to play one video game.

Basically, I like watching girls that aren't in Hololive or any other big corporate company because they have the freedom to play whatever they want. A personalized experience makes for a better stream rater than knowing the girl is under a deadline to finish the game before permissions run out or if she dares to stream past the allotted stream time the publisher allowed.

Girls who aren't in Hololive get to swear a lot more, and that feels more natural to me too. I don't need someone to curse like a sailor to have fun, I just like it when someone's honest with their feelings. It's more fun that way. Hololive girls are nice, but vtubers in general are nice, so you should always look for more people to watch who suit your own tastes. There's nothing wrong with branching out and finding more vtubers to watch.

That's just JP baseball fans in general. There could be nothing on those screens and they would still cheer. There are two sections for each team with nothing but a cheer section. These cheer people work in the off season and follow their favorite teams during the regular season to cheer at all their games. I've seen Atlanta play and I've seen DeNa play in Hiroshima. It's almost dead quiet at a MLB game unless something happens. In Japan it's constant cheering until the batter has to hit.
