I think im genuinely starting to hate amelia.
I used to enjoy watching her streams, she was funny and reasonably entertaining but lately shes just been acting really weird. it feels like shes coming apart at the seams.

shes promised to reschedule like 5 streams in the past 30 days (and then followed through only once), her tweets are getting weirder and weirder and now she just seems to be declining as a person.
worst part is that she isnt even trying to better herself, at least mori seems like shes trying to improve.

Glad I'm not the only person picking up on this. I used to really like Ame but the constant excuse making and the very blatant antipathy towards chat dispelled any fantasies I was holding about her caring for her audience. It feels like shes just phoning it in most streams and would rather be doing something else.

I would agree that Ame has been acting weird lately and even been becoming more unhinged in a way that feels like she's almost trying to condition her chat. So Ame to me first started seeming a bit weird when she made the seaman joke in Obra Dinn, which was a small thing that I left alone because it didn't seem like much, and then I remember in her [Members only] Food Review stream there was a hair on someone's plate and she said "What is this... A pubic hair on your plate!" out of nowhere which was just disgusting but she apologized later saying she felt bad for the person so I once again just left it alone. Now on Ame's most recent streams though it almost seems like she just been cursing way more and just saying unhinged shit out of nowhere. Like Gura has for sure started not giving a fuck as much much she's always been subtle with her stuff and not actively trying to swear (Has been cursing more, meatspin, blue waffle etc.) but Ame feels like she's just kinda going more towards Vshojou levels of how she speaks and presents herself now.

I honestly thought maybe I was going crazy because her celeste stream she was cursing like crazy but I know when she plays platformers she tends to be a bit more unfiltered but she'll still at least try to hold back swears and I even said "Man it really feels like Ame's been a bit more unhinged since Coco graduated, it's going to suck seeing her be more unfiltered and not the Ame that I subbed for." which I'm starting to feel like is becoming true now. Which is weird of her to say since she wouldn't be streaming still and if she was no one would no who she was so I always figured Ame would be the most loyal to Hololive since they literally gave her a platform to not being poor or having to work towards working in the medical field for her but maybe I'm missing something there? There was also the rrat about Ame trying to get back at cover but I can't remember what it was (Something about Coco?)

So I'm just going to say this, ever since Coco left and Ame talked to her 1 on 1 she's becoming even more crude in terms of what she says and unhinged. It honestly feels like Ame is either getting everyone ready for a Vshojou Collab so people won't be surprised when she acts like them or more realistically, Ame is trying to be a Coco 2.0 which would be unfortunate because I subbed to Ame because she wasn't really like Coco at all (Aside from creativity, the drugs for watson concoction and her getting a bit dangerous with giving chat emote words to spell out bad shit) and I liked Coco because she wasn't like Ame at all. I didn't plan on posting tonight, but I feel a few people are being serious instead of trolling, so I will just say a few things:

1) There is a spectrum between Sora level of seiso and Vshojo level of vulgarity, and different people have different limits. Any foray into vshojo vulgarity that you find off-putting, will be cheered for by another teamate, and perhaps vice versa, so Amelia will never know to adjust her behavior based on chat reactions alone. Personally, I liked Amelia the most at her debut, when she had the role of a smart detective and competent FPS gamer. Even the fake British accent warmed my heart. She felt different and fresh, but it didn't last long, which brings me to my next point.

2) Be prepared to branch out to other vtubers. Even if Ame regresses to another twitch streamer with pussy and dick jokes, I won't really lose sleep over it. Korone for instance plays retro games that I am curious about and is generally a cinnamon roll. Cousin Uto on the other hand is ironically a better FPS gamer, singer and doesn't rely on any vulgar jokes to create her own humor. Even small indies like Nina Saotome offer better gameplay (like how she smashed through Dark Souls with well-practiced ease), astonishing English singing that puts all holos to shame, and generally a chill atmosphere. Of course, your tastes may differ, but I'm sure that with so many out there, you can find other vtubers that fit your desire.

That said, from a distance, I can still appreciate how Amelia constantly thinks about ways to innovate with her streams (outfit reveal, VR etc.). I am just not dependent on her fitting my own criteria anymore, because let's face it, it's easier to watch other people than to wait for vtubers to change. I don't know if I can call myself a teamate anymore, but the label doesn't mean much to me anyhow. Find happiness, instead of worrying about things you can't change.

I think it's still way more tame than what we can hear on holoEN streamers on an hourly basis (except maybe Ina). I agree with you that Uto disappears often, but she isn't ever lazy when it comes to work (like failing to have a working l2d model for a celebration stream), and upon her returns, we always get covers, song, merchs, models. We also have to remember she's a college IT student, so technically not a full-time streamer (same with Nina Saotome).

But those are only examples. I don't mind not seeing them for a while because I already have many others to follow, but if it's a deal-breaker for you, there are more regular streamers as well.

This is a very strange thread. I feel as if there's a lot of newer people in here that don't realise this is how Ame has been since her debut, and so since they have only watched her for the last few months or so believe that she's "changed". Many Teamates will agree that she's generally the same person she's always been, with the big difference being that she's starting to very frequently cancel streams - and admittedly people are starting to get quite pissed off about that.
Some of the statements posted in this thread are simply false, and I would like to see a Teamate who has watched her from anything close to day 1 challenge the following: She's always been vulgar for the sake of being vulgar, this isn't anything new. She's always poked fun at her chat, that's her way of bantering. She's always had moments where she loses her head and lashed out at her chat, often apologising afterwards. Her twitter has always been full of weird posts. She's always been hot and cold in terms of energy (one stream she can appear not that into it and the next she's fired up and having a good time).

What that one Anon described is a very good explanation for what some might be feeling. The "honeymoon period" is over. You have had your Ame fix, your tastes have changed and you are moving on. Chuubas who you originally wouldn't have enjoyed are now the ones that interest you.

Other than that, what we have is very subjective viewer impression. For people who don't really mind such things, the incidents won't even register in their minds. As somebody who sort of felt like the OP I have to agree with posts that say the honeymoon period is over, I think most of us have been watching her for almost a year it's natural to get a little burned out.
