I got charmed once during Myth and never again. I always feel like they're up to something and I don't think I can articulate it better.
It's like they're putting on a play for you so you're just watching a play.
Like when you play video game characters you may love a certain character but outside of fanfiction you know they're contained to their media.
You could argue that Vtubers differ in that they're a person but you're not going to walk down the street and see a Psyduck or Ina just passing by.
That's what does it for me.
