stargate sg1 is perfect tv
each episode a likeable group of characters explores a new world meeting new cultures
episode plots were fun enough and most contributed to the massive overarching 'defeat the goa'uld threat' storyline by making alliances, getting new tech, etc.

I now need a list of all vtubers who watch(ed) stargate, I only know of Amiya who watched star trek

I love the fact this show managed to be fairly serious, but had episodes like that. Really made me like it even more. My favorite episodes were probably Heroes and The Changeling and I'd say that was the peak, but I loved the entire show overall. Scenes like webm related made it even better.

>> No.63958241

Remember that time Thor just fucking broke into the SGC by remote-hacking them and basically turning off the lights so they couldn't shut the Iris on him, walking through the open gate that they fully expected would be a threat, being like "i need your help guise" and then casting a new wormhole without the woosh effect

He was literally unbeatable. He even refused to go to his granddaughter's school play, because he had to save Daniel and told her he was a very close friend, probably the only scene where he's so open about his feelings towards SG-1. He wasn't just a boss to these guys, he always did everything he could to help them, without thinking about himself. He once even asked Carter whether he should step down as a commander of the SGC if it meant buying her time to save Teal'c, before the new administration stepped in. He didn't care about himself, his career or his position. He only cared about his friends. I'm glad they named a spaceship after him when Don S. Davis died, he absolutely deserved it.

8 is good, and you really only need to watch the Atlantis premier to understand a few things in SG1 season 8. 9-10 are also good but a bit of a soft reboot.

Neither; they didn't plan for what the portal would look like, they just knew where the portal would be and had a marathon decorating the area. It was after everything was made they decided to make the giant circle into the portal. If I recall correctly I think it was Botan who made the giant stone circle as decoration, then others who decorated it and spruced the area up.
