I don't hate her I'm mostly just disappointed that she sings uber generic anime op stuff when we have stuff like Mori and Gura with interesting non anime tracks. She's also the least autistic so far which is where like 90% of the hololive charm comes from. I dunno I don't hate her but I dislike her artstyle and wish she'd put out more original music. I'll have to wait a few months after she's started streaming and is less nervous to pass judgement though considering I hated Kiara and Ame for the first few months.

Debuts are almost always kind of boring, this was no exception. Her singing voice is pretty good, but bland, if that makes sense? Her singing didn't really "wow" me like I would expect from a VSinger.
I'll tune in to her streams this week to get a better feel for her personality, but I already feel like I won't be sticking around for long.

I think she did alright. Despite the scuff, i feel like she has a warm personality that will have opportunities to show itself later on.

Im not particularly opinionated about singing, im not into Japanese music unless it has something distinct about it, a good hook, either the beat, the way the lyrics are sung etc. Im not particularly woved by regular JP songs which i felt she sang during the debut/opening. So i hope she'll cover something more interesting.

The face could use some work, the eyes feel flat and dull and don't move much independently from where she's facing, it really 'doll's' her up too much. The whole distribution of facial proportions could be re-arranged slightly, like the distances between the mouth/nose/top of the head. But sadly, knowing how frequently things are fixed in holo, im not betting on it getting tweeked until the next outfit.

That said almost every holoEN girl had weird facial thing that at first looked bad but eventually grew into their personality. Like the weird simbol-like way Nabi draws Uto's and Ame's mouths, looked weird at first. Or guras 2dimentionality that got normalised through time (until it actually gets fixed it feels normal). Kiaras weird mouth, Moris constant drug induced eyes wide open darting everywhere. Ina is almost perfect if not for her default models body being a very rigid A (T) pose as if it was just a direct copy of a concept art before a slight pose would be decided to make it feel more natural. Everyones got the scuff gene in them.

Redjuice did not do a good job. There’s a reason all the good vtuber models in the industry look similar. Lots of solid pastel colors with well defined line art. As well as minimal gradients and brushing. It allows stuff to move relative to other stuff and not look weird. Redjuice drew her the same as all his other work. Brushed to hell and back. Which looks great in stills, but that doesn’t work in motion. It’s why she has that annoying orange look to her eyes and mouth. She needs a redraw from someone who’s drawn for rigging before.

I wouldn't blame the artist. Not everyone's style translates well into Live2D. His art stands out in promotional materials and looks great on a static design. Cover should've realized this after getting back the initial rigging motion tests and just decide to not continue with it. Otherwise you'll just get a repeat of Kiara where huke's trademark design aesthetic isn't present because it also wouldn't translate well into Live2D, so instead it just looks really plain.

The biggest thing I’m worried about right now is her getting really crippled because Cover won’t be decisive about this. If they stall and waffle about it will really hurt her growth. They need to fix this fast. They need to get a more compatible redraw of her for rigging. And considering they didn’t do that the first time around I’m not really hopeful. They fixed Guras ears pretty fast. But this is a much bigger task. They’re more likely to try and patch her little by little rather than fix the whole thing from the ground up.

As far as accomplishments go IRyS has done a shitload more than all the other musicians in Hololive, it's really not a surprise they picked someone with loads of experience, especially considering she has worked with AZKi in the past, is perfectly fluent in both Japanese and English, and lives in Japan for future Live Concerts, something that's pretty fucking big.
