Male streamers who ramble and rant autistically about their interests are always good to watch, there’s just not a lot of women to prove it because they’re watching something else, unfortunately. I wish all males here just continued to talk about what they love, their criticisms, but it sucks that thinking about analytics is their biggest obstacle. Really I just want to make some of my primary interests more known to people. Stuff like tabletops, fighting games, and card games have systems and games that never got much attention, so I want to do things like GM games with other creators to shine a spotlight on them.

I'll spoonfeed. I used a snowball for my first 6 months of streaming. Comes with a tripod, audio quality is nice, the price is reasonable. It captures everything, though, and sitting on your desk means it captures a ton of noise from your hand movements. Your audience will hear every shift on your desk.

Graduate to a real mic setup asap if you want great audio.

PS3 cameras work for live2d?? I unironically never would have thought as much. I appreciate the idea but I have a hard time supporting it personally. Biggest thing you gotta choose with mics is if you want to get a dynamic or condenser mic.

Condensers tend to sound better but they are much more sensitive and will pick up any ambient noise, roommates, cars, mouse clicks, keyboards, computer fans, everything.

Dynamic mics don't sound quite as good, especially budget models, but they also don't pick up unwanted noise as much. The downside is the mic has to be right in front of your face.

I find dynamic mics much easier to just use without fuss. Condenser mics sound better but you have to babysit them more. It kind of depends on your individual situation and wants for what you buy.
