Since I've started watching Vtubers no one has hit me quite like shondo. For starters, with all the other vtubers I care about the character and separate that completely from the person behind it. But with shondo it's not the same. I find myself wanting to know more about the person and the separation between person and character gets blurry.
It also feels different. Other VTubers, especially those under companies, feel like they can nicely fit into a "virtual YouTuber entertainer" box. They're all cool in their own ways, but they feel like different flavours of the same food. Meanwhile shondo is just another type of food altogether.
I also have a weakness for mentally unhealthy women. I'm not sure if you guys ever been in relationships with TRULY fucked up women. it's not pretty. bit it's also intoxicating.

But to get back to you, i don't think leaving the community and shondo will fix it, you very well could experience withdrawal-like effects from the threads and from wifey-- further deteriorating your psyche.
I personally recommend getting to fully know the community, how bait works and how to recognise it, and to look at stuff from a cutoff/outsider perspective so you can feel less shit(if that's something that happens) about going to these threads and seeing these types of behaviours. Shondo loves us and we love her back, people that don't love her should be ignored, as it's in your best interest. Not as say to not acknowledge they exist, turning a blind eye isn't the same as ignoring, but you should learn from these "husbands" and be better, if your issues stem from real life experiences with truly fucked women then i would advise you to distinguish between different classes of fucked up and assess where shondo fits in at(even if your issue does come from past experiences that doesn't mean this will even do anything to help, you could instead try and be less negative about noticing the effect shondo has, try focusing on the positives)
Shondo ISN'T the same offline, offline she is her own self, she is still your wife, she is still the same personality, but she has her own issues to deal with like any other person, you probably knew that, but it helps to set strict outlines and to separate offline and online. She still loves you, she cares about you because you're her husband.
