I'll start with a vague claim, but hear me out: vtubers are like other people. There are good and bad.

I feel that thinking 90% are bad sounds like an overly cynical take designed to make you hate the world more and bring you only unhappiness. Not everyone is a bad person. Not everyone has a broken moral compass.

I'm not saying you need to believe in humanity, because everyone has their own experiences with people which will color their thoughts, but I'm just questioning your thought process. If you become a little less cynical of everything, you may find more enjoyment in life. I'm not suggesting to be naive and ignore wrongdoing of a chuuba or person, but I'm rather suggesting to not try and paint actions/statements chuubas make and bias them unfairly with a negative view. Maybe take some time off /vt/ if you feel its clouding your views too. Just a thought.

You also can't blame them for how their audience behaves. I think most of them genuinely want to engage with their audience and keep them entertained.

Pretty sane take, although one thing you're missing is that most of the popular streamers we talk about are inherently at the top 1%. Average streamer never breaks past 1-2views, so even the small corpos are way above average on that metric.

It's the same IRL too, where you have disproportionate levels of backstabbing/scheming psychopaths who become CEOs and politicians. Most people are of average charisma and attractiveness. However, to your point if we assume it to be true, what I will say that charisma is something that can be worked on straightforwardly. The downside is that it requires putting yourself in awkward situations. For instance, public speaking as a skill only gets better if you speak in public more., but especially early on, you'll get clammy hands, shaking knees, queasy, whatever.

Attractiveness can also generally be worked on to an extent too-- for instance, fashion choices, weight loss (if needed), working out, taking care of yourself, etc.. There are things you can't change, like height or face-shape, but that doesn't have to stop you from self-improvement in other ways. The hard part is finding motivation for it all, but you really do have options for self-improvement, and I find that motivating in and of itself.

I'm not saying it's easy, because it's quite the opposite, but I am saying there are paths forward you can take to improve yourself likely to the point you'd want. You just need to persevere anon.
