There's nothing inherently wrong with nepo hires. If you know someone that fulfills the needs of your company not only are you helping the person you know but also the company and speeding up the whole process. The problem is nepo hiring ONLY as a favor without considering the needs of the job, that's the difference between nepo hires like GAMERS and the homos. The homos were hired just because they were friends with holos, GAMERS had talent and experience in streaming plus fulfilled an empty slot in Cover at the time.

Nepohires imply they aren't talented enough to make it by their own merits. None of Gen 1 or 2 or gamers are nepohire because getting into hololive wasn't a win at that time.
Coco, Kiara and Noel aren't nepohires because they were recruited by management and have a resume befitting the job they are being hired into. Really only Sana could be considered a nepohire in holoEN.
