AI tends to forget too many details or get confused by itself, contradicting itself. There's some flowery sentences underneath it all, but they don't feel particularly exciting or unique enough that I couldn't think of them myself.

I did, once. It was pretty useless. Within a few minutes the AI had forgotten what was happening and started taking my story in a completely different direction. The most you can use AI for is to provide inspiration or ideas, and even then most of the stuff is nonsensical since it will always try to introduce the most random characters at the worst times. I'll admit I did get one decent idea from the use of AI, but that's about it.

I don't really like the contest because time limits always kill my creativity. Even if the deadline is like six months away, it always shoots my inspiration in the back of the head.

AC Hololive. Grant it, it was when I was still a huge novice at writing adventure stories but out of every single story I have ever put forth publicly, that one always makes me cringe the most. If I go with writing until something sticks, it is a true method, but how many iterations of ideas or scenes it takes for it to strike that correct feeling for me is pretty variable. At the same time though, inspiration can strike whenever. I'd just say take the route that allows you to keep having fun. You'll get there.
