I didn't watch any holostars before Tempus started. I figured it was too gay. I gave Bettel a chance from a clip and found I enjoyed his streams. He's genuinely entertaining, and he doesn't play into the gay bait, but you have to deal with holostars fans everywhere constantly trying to push it. I checked out the others but didn't like them, apart from Hakka's music related stuff. Others played into the gay bait more.
Even then, I wouldn't say Bettel is more or less entertaining than hololive. It's just different kind of entertainment, like a comedy routine vs CGDCT. I'd rather watch a Fuwamoco stream than Bettel, because while they don't make as many jokes per se, I'm a guy and find FWMC cuter and the streams make me happier to watch.

There doesn't need to be a comparison. each side has their own sort of entertainment. I don't think it's clear cut.
