The problem I see with kawaiicord existing as it is now is that it's a relatively closed off space to the wider fanbase, while also having privileged access to management and talents, even if the chuubas themselves aren't allowed to be in it (allegedly). Yea, but desu, the problem is kinda inflated and much bigger than people make it out to be. The purist/extremist on both side of regarding discord (and in a similiar way, the argument about twitch simulcast), will overinflate the importance of it.
Currently, the discordfags only really have an illusion of power and self-importance so they just feel cocky about themselves and that's about it. You can contact management regardless whether in discord or not anyway. It's not really a case where discord actually have major hold on the talents themselves like many other indie or small corpo scene. Sure, they can come together to organize bigger projects for the girls or and those can make the girls happy once in a while. However, the girls still appreciate individual projects and skeb equally anyway. Pretty much all other small corpo and indie (bigger or smaller than kawaii) have much deeper fancord involvement so people blaming fancord for kawaii growth and doompost it about ruining kawaii are also wrong.
As much as I don't like discord, I don't think forcing management to ignore it or talents to never ever interact with it or any contents stemmed from it is a good idea. That feels like a sentiment motivated by heavily bias against discord. That's equal to retarded suggestion that Kawaii should find and ban fans from chats who are supporting vdere. The problem is that discord is more of a small group of "friends" rather than and group of fans that have a presence in the chats. Not every new watcher wants to be part of that.
