I think people underestimate the amount of time she's spent carrying the brand. Most people are pretty familiar with the early period when she was basically the entire brand before some of the gen 1s started carving markets, but she was still the face of sponsorships and events for years after that even as other girls started establishing fanbases.

There's a level of technical ability and professional familiarity Sora has that a lot of the girls just never caught up to even when they pull in huge stream numbers. Even now every year when we have holofes, Sora shows up and there're tons of fans shocked that she's actually capable of eating the entire stage instead of just being an ornamental idol.
