Same. That's a good thing though. Live singing is all about expression and when that passion beats studio production you know the singer is giving it 110%. For me one of the best examples of that is Tsukiakari, the karaoke duet version is still the definitive one for me. That's why I personally enjoy Kanata's singing more than her previous character's, no matter the skill you can't beat live performances even if it's a simple karaoke stream

NTA but why can't it be both? People can like what the song implies and assign meaning to it (even if it might not be entirely true) while also enjoying the cover for what it is. I for one love it because it's one of my absolute favorite songs from Kagepro because of the story and just how good it is and Kanata did an amazing job really selling the emotion of it as she always does with these more powerful songs.

As for the underlying meaning, I don't agree with the whole "she knows someone who might've offed themselves" but I think she chose to cover the song for some current things she's feeling and her relationship with singing at the moment. It could be a big part or just a small insignificant thought. We don't know that for sure but that's part of the charm of it.

I dunno, why isn't it both? I haven't seen much positive reactions to it in three threads I've seen it posted. The message people assume she's sending seems to be more important than the cover itself. Remember that people assumed she's just copying Haachama when her teaser released, or that it's Kanata coping with Coco's graduation.

Obviously Kanata loves songs that she relate to, she's never been shy about admitting it. It's been a staple for her covers from day one. Don't remember people overanalyzing Byoushin wo Kamu that way despite it also having a personalized MV, certainly not to this extent, that's why it seems strange to me. Obviously both were very personal to Kanata and it made the covers especially good, so much work went into both of these. I love how thorough Kanata is with her covers. For me Kanata crying on The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku on two different utawakus left a stronger impression of her feelings.

I actually put Kanata on my other monitor that, along with its blue light options that I normally use, includes a few colorblind settings and sliders for it. I set it specifically so the blue ones stand out like crazy, since I wasn't really "watching" and just listening and looking when she's breeding. I didn't see any misappraisals and I watched about 3/5 of the total time spent.
I have to get up or focus on my main screen a lot though so I do miss some. I assume with so many viewers, someone would sound the alarm if she overlooked.
