- Because simp culture dominates western streaming, male chuubas have zero chance to make it, further reducing broad appeal and creativity. - The western vtuber scene is a lot more cliquey and insular. Talented actors get chased away from vtubing because of the high school bullshit you see here. - English vtuber fans are incredibly low quality and schizophrenic. /vt/ is worse than any vtuber board in japan. This further demoralizes chuubas and other fans.
- Westerners are tighter with their money. This might be because japanese/chinese viewers have more disposable income, or because viewers over there tend to be your average businessmen/businesswomen. Less money = less talent in the western vtubing pool

western vtubing is FUCKED. I'm expecting it to fall off hard over the next three years as more and more people get burned out on it and a few more high profile graduations/yabs occur. I think the only "innovation" it needs is more recurring 3D streams, every Holo needs their own hightech mocap setup, obviously doing a 3D stream everyday would be a hassle, but a 3D stream once per week or once every 2 weeks is viable.

3D allows to see their mannerisms and other niche experiences that you can't do otherwise, even something as simple as a SC reading in 3D could be an amusing experience.
