AI art feels like an allegory for life or something. You start out with a grand idea and plan, and the AI just doesn't want to cooperate. You tweak here and there, slowly losing sight of what you originally intended. And eventually end up with something that is completely different from what you originally set out to do. But it's alright and you just kind of accept it.

I trained a few on civitai when their training platform was in beta and free to subscribers and the results were pretty good. 5$ for unlimited training was insane and all you had to do was upload the dataset and captions. So insane they scratched it from beta and released it as a microtransaction, fucking everything up. Now it's $0.5 per model so it's worse than colab.
I personally went back to training on my 6800xt server. The main issue is I have to stop SD from running every time I want to train and I am incredibly lazy to set up my other OS on the personal system to train there (though it would go faster with the 7900xtx but speed is not really an issue with lora training. data gathering is the bitch)

Out of curiosity I finally decided to try comfyUI. It's sort of fun to use, attaching all the parts, but a lot of things that are sort of common back on a1111, at least in my workflow, are annoying to set up and do so I'm not sure how useable it really is for me. It has a lot of power, like I can do hires fix with a different model than the first pass gen, or I can adjust strength of model and clip individually on loras instead of one strength shared for both, or all sorts of other weird things. But I dunno I can't really see that much actual use case for most of that stuff, maybe I'm just unimaginative. So I'm sacrificing ease of use for a bunch of benefits I don't actually care about.
One thing I think is cool though is that it does some sort of RAM/VRAM trickery and lets me do sizes and upscales that would give me an instant VRAM error on a1111. I assume it's something caching related since it becomes really slow if I go past my usual boundaries (as in, 10x as long) but it's neat that it can actually finish the operation isntead of crashing.

I still don't really understand why it got (gets?) as much hate as I've seen it get, though. Gonna just chalk that one up to 4chan tribalism probably

Inpainting can be a bit tricky but otherwise Comfy is comparable

The real advantage is some specific custom nodes which are Comfy only like the latent mega modifier, custom noise nodes, the NN latent upscale nodes

Cross Hatch Power Fractal noise with 2M/3M SDE + sgm_uniform is a very powerful combo
Gens that simply collapse composition wise with 2M Karras hold up with this combo

As for the hate it gets, some can be attributed to the fact that it is SAI sponsored now, but most of it is tribalism + Comfy anon somewhat trolling the haters and his hot takes

I think the biggest piece I'm missing is that my a1111 workflow was often: generate batch of 4-6 at small resolution -> pick the best one(s) -> hires fix just that one, only one at a time. It was easy since you just clicked the pic you want, slide the batch slider to 1, and check the hires fix box. But the comfyui interface is not nearly as quick to change, you have to drag around a bunch of parts and then drag them back once you want to go back to batch gens. I might just be missing something

Well it's already just a collection of loras applied to OCP.

Never thought on training a lora on the same outputs, mostly because I've never had success with lora training. I've tried many times to set it up and even got others to help me, but I've never been able to get it to work neither on colab nor locally, so AFAIK that's out of the picture for me.

Alright here's everything needed to enjoy soup in your own home. bear in mind that the OCP and Soup models have hll1 baked in, so I recommend using a hll3 or higher lora at 0.6-0.8 to have better hll.

How the extension I am thinking of works is that it's basically a img2img of a render that you can project onto the scene. I suppose technically you could do that from multiple angles, just most likely won't be consistent. I mean for OC, if you use a Vtuber/character LoRA, I can think it should be fairly consistent. Well, I saw a YouTube video of someone doing this for a Blender landscape, but they were using a fixed camera and projected the UV from view.
It's good to know this information ahead of time that this technology is capable of doing 360 rotations or not (or at least, like, front view, back view, 3/4, etc...) if I use img2img with a "grey" character with a specific shape or something.

It might be a miniscule difference or something but with the amount of mixing, changing models and such I have done with various model sizes (1.99-7GB is the range i have seen models go), I have yet to run into a situation where any model didnt just take 48 seconds to load outside of those rare few moments as stated before. Be it pruned or not, though it might just be a Me case than anything concrete.

Two different methods one is inpaint,where you fill in the canvas with the colors you want and then do and img2img with somewhat high de-noise 0.5-0.6 and changing all color in your prompts to those colors (blue skirt, red top etc)

Other is rely on rng and pack your prompt with colors from your palette and then pray to rngesus.
