It's all about setting expectations. Norio/Tamaki for example repeatedly reminded fans it's best not to be gachi koi for her. Didn't outright try to *ban* it but openly stated stuff like she was looking to get married, and eventually actually did, and no one really made a fuss of it since it was out in the open since the beginning.
That and she frequently does ikemen host club collabs and whatnot, least-unicorn friendly tuber (despite being a total unicorn herself).

She even organizes Noripro into "idol" streamers who are unicorn-friendly and banned from collabing with males, and "variety" which are free to do what they want. The talent chooses which one they will be and then just commits to it, pretty simple and effective.

I think the best way is to purge your fanbase with things the unicorns wouldn't like but everyone else would. Set the fans expectations. The earlier on you collab with males, the less menhera the unicorns will get, and the less of your fanbase portion will be unicorns.

The downside of this: the unicorns are the paypigs, and if they'll be obsessive and stick with your streams. They're a ticking timebomb, but they'll boost you up.

This is what happened with Rushia (apart from her being just plain fucking crazy). She played into GFE to boost unicorns in her fanbase, and in turn she got more views and money. Then when something happened that shattered the unicorn expectations, all hell broke loose. If she went from the start and collabed with males, it's doubtful she would have as much SC or views, but it probably wouldn't have been as big of a deal.
