Nerissa has personality, I just don't particularly like it so I stopped watching her. Of the new gen I watch Biboo the most by far. Shiori doesn't interest me at all, and FWMC are entertaining and I watch them sometimes but they play a lot of boring debuff games.

Advent was kinda holoEN's last chance to fix their schedule problems. JP has streams spanning 18-24 hours of the day and they're streaming in a language used by one country in one timezone, and the "international" EN branch had 9/10 people streaming in a 6 hour window. And they debuted... 5 more people who stream the same content at the same time.
If you looked here, or on leddit, or on twitter after their debut schedule announcement maybe 1/3 of the comments were euros or SEA saying they were giving up on ever watching holoEN. Those were the regions that built hololive's overseas audience before EN existed, then spent years asking for EN streams. It's a bizarre unforced error on Cover's part to just throw away 3/4 of the planet so they can try squeezing a few more viewers out of California.

Yeah, but those other regions don't generate much money or are unproven markets. There's a reason EU and SEA are some of the last regions ever thought about in general. The markets may have a lot of people, but the average money spent is usually less. It's the same reason there isn't a Hololive ES despite there being a lot of Spanish speakers. You are basically the Guatemalans of the English speaking world. Also, it's already been proven time and time that Euros will adapt to whatever is happening in NA. The opposite is not true because nobody gives a shit about what happens in EU.

Before the EN branch started, NA was actually the region that both superchatted the least and watched the least - it was debuting members that they could get invested in which made them watch and spend money. Unfortunately holoEN's management seem to have the cause (NA has the overwhelming majority of the content) and effect (NA watches and spends more) backwards.
I think they've already hit the limits of the PDT audience, too - everyone's getting fewer viewers than a year ago, everyone's getting fewer superchats (except Kiara funnily enough), and none of the EN plushies that just came out sold out. But by hyper-focusing on that region for years they've pissed off what was previously a completely free new audience that was literally begging to spend money.
