I'll only make this post so as to not attention whore. I like watching female vtubers as a woman because the only other female streamer to interest me in the past was 39daph. I felt as if other popular female streamers were too normalfag and weren't relatable, but I always had a desire to support female streamers regardless. Vtubers are (generally) more relatable and it's easy to imagine them as friends, like how a man might watch XQC because he sees him as a "bro". Amelia and Utako are the most relatable to me. The cute (typically) anime avatars are also appealing regardless of sex, and I feel as if other women likely enjoy the more girly activities female vtubers do such as outfit reveals and zatsudans as well.

I started watching them because someone recommended me Kizuna Ai back in 2017 and ended up watching other Vtubers like Nijisanji, Hololive and the Eilene family.
I currently mostly watch Hololive because I’m an idolfag.

Simple because it's anime. The appeal is animated characters. Anything irl is thrown out. I don't watch male vtubers because they're no different than irl streamers. Female vtubers, however, they can do much more behind an animated character to be popular than resort to being a thot. It has a more refreshing feeling seeing female streamers nowadays.

I'm bisexual, simple as. My oshi is Lamy and she is hot as fuck But I think it's not necessary at all, I guess most girls don't have to find a chuuba sexy to watch them regularly. Or if they do find someone sexy, their sex appeal isn't the only reason why they watch them. For example, a lot of women who watch Holostars tend to try watching all of them and look into Hololive girls as well, rather than choosing one guy and being gachikoi for him. I also try to watch all Holos and Stars from time to time at least in clip form and look into other agencies sometimes. Depending on a chuuba, some of them are cute, some are fun to watch and make you want to have a friend like them, some regularly put out interesting content, some sing well etc. It's only my speculation but I think there are more girls than guys among vtuber fans that tend to rather watch a lot of chuubas than have one oshi. I do have one though, Lamy's been my oshi since debut and the possibility of changing oshis never occurred to me, even when I watched a fuckton of Ame streams for several months after her debut. If you change her she's never been your oshi, honestly
Besides, most 3D streamers filter me, no matter male or female. I could never understand how people are able to watch hours of content from some boring retard just playing a game or reacting to videos, then got into vtubers because it's literally the closest we can get to SoL anime in real life. And yeah, vtubers help me with my Japanese reps.
To sum it up, I guess, everyone likes cute anime girls.
