The vtubing music industry is a fucking scam. It's shocking to hear what gets green-lit by big corpos. The freelance xitter 'musicians' and 'engineers' are overpaid lazy pieces of shit:
>amateur lyrics and songwriting masked by ADHD arrangements and wall-of-sound production
>high-speed edits, stutter/glitch effects, melodies and arpeggiators apparently = good
>heavy-handed use of autotune, no matter the genre or singing skill of the vtuber
>conveyor belt/production line sound with most tracks made up almost entirely of presets and sound packs
>horrific and unbalanced mixing (literally never heard a well-mixed track in over 4.5 years of watching vtubers)
>terrible mastering of EPs and albums where there's absolutely no consistency between the tracks that all vary wildly in loudness, tonality and clarity
These faggots are laughing every time they quote their price to these dumb whores and corpos who don't know any better. The music has always been objectively abysmal.

I fucking love idol music, not just because of the people singing, I genuinely like a lot of it musically, I listen to it on repeat and sing it in karaoke. I've listened to SSS maybe more than a thousand times and heard it tons of times in all Holo events, and I never get tired of it. I've rewatched all Holofes multiple times, obsessing over which voice combos sounded good, who got better at choreography etc. Cinderella Girls U183 OP was the best fucking piece of anime music I've heard that season. Music is all about making you feel things and idol stuff never fails for me, it's literally a fucking feel good pill in music form. So you can suck my dick and fuck off.

Sure. Maybe you're the one who has a normalfag mindset about this? The ironic weeb who thinks idols are cringe like early Mori? Idols are literally just another form of CGDCT. Cute girls do cute things (and gradually get better at doing it!). The one thing subhumans /here/ keep screaming about despite not having watched more than 1 or 2 CGDCT titles. Somehow girls playing some boring game on stream (but WITHOUT MALES YOU SEE!!) and making stale or crude jokes is peak CGDCT but girls performing an idol song on stage is soulless and boring idolshit to them, even if said girls willingly put in months of work into it and did their best.

I know that there are some formulas for standard "idol music" and a lot of songs follow these formulas and aren't really a result of creative genius at work. That doesn't change the fact that the feelings girls put into it while singing and the feelings of the fans are real, smiles and tears are real, and it's all that matters. Also I'm still convinced that a lot of Holo songs, especially main group songs like SSS, Kirameki Rider, Prism Melody, Our Bright Parade are really well-made in a sense that they don't get old and repetitive. Holos still love them and they are still really feels-inducing.
