Do any of you have advice on wanting to become a vtuber, as far as what kind of content you like to see, personality, etc? Are there too many "gremlin"/lewd types? I want to be a character where I can be myself, but I know there's a lot of similar vtubers, and I wouldn't want to just be a carbon copy. What in your opinion makes certain vtubers unique/stand out?

I honestly don't watch indies but I do follow some on twitter. There are a lot of "lewd" types plus those who just flat-out do sex work and stream on fansly, but like. Sex sells.

My biggest advice is to try to do your best to have a good personality, stream games that are fun, and network as much as you can. Also, have a good model.

I'm going to be a male youtuber, not vtuber, and use my career to join HoloStars Gen2. I will proceed to avoid every girl and lean into BFE(I have a very attractive twink-tier voice, despite looking like a disgusting sewer goblin)

That doesn't matter one bit. What matters is which corpo you join. Vshoujo is instant frontpage shilling because the ceo is a twitch admin. Hololive you get an instant big audience who simps for you. However, to audition for that you should just stream with an avatar you like and pander to your strengths. Also "gremlin" is cringe. Just go full loli and do it well.
