Aside from the fact that they were purposefully pulled from two different pools to have the server be half-JP and half-non-JP in order to foster interbranch communication, these pools were chosen at completely randomly.

The most surprising is Botan, she was literally one of the hearts of this whole event the last years, it just feels unnatural without her around. I'm not against the inclusion of the newest members since it creates new relationships, but leaving out members like Pekora, Marine, Aqua or Botan is so weird.

Red A: Bijou and Fauna will will try speak Japanese. Kanade and Zeta speak English to them. Towa will try passion English and Chloe will speak basic English. Shion will be kind of stuck there.
Red B: 4 En members and 3 Jp members. Least likely to speak English. The 3 Jp girls will try multiple times to speak English and ever time the English girls will respond in Japanese.
White A: Perfect balance of both English and Japanese. Enough Jp girls who will speak Japanese amongst each other and Kaela who always pushes hard for English.
White B: Could go any way. It could be lots of English or none. One thing's for sure, there will be flirting.
Yellow A: IRyS will speak a lot of Japanese at first. Sora will speak English for Gura and Kronii. (Sora did a 4 hour English only stream will Kaela) Polka, Watame, and Matsuri will overcome there nervousness and try speaking English. At this point, what language will everyone will be speaking will be entirely determined by IRyS.
Yellow B: Ririka will speak in English for Shiori. Suisei loves showing off her English. Hajime will find out that people understand her more easily when she speaks English. Bae and Anya might push the Jp girls into only speaking Japanese.
In conclusion, how much English there will entirely depend on the En girls. The Jp members are nervous when speaking English but another part within them wants to. These teams have literally been set up in the perfect way in order to encourage as much English as possible (Proof that God is American). Counterpoint, it is entirely within the En girls character to make all these Japanese only. If there is very little English and you become disappointed and angry, you know who to blame.

Absolutely, especially if you consider the mixed branch groups. 4 or 5 people are ideal for a group collab, 6 is already pushing it and with 7 members, the voicechat will be either a cacophony of noises or some talents will just stay quiet all the time and neither option is something that makes for a good collab experience, although given the circumstances, I'll take all of them speaking at all times. If I was in charge of organizing, I'd have split each team into three subgroups even, resulting in nine Discord calls.
