I think it's really hard for small corpos nowadays with the amount of chuubas out there, the twins from holo for example only became big now that they joined a big corpo despite always being entertaining, so I feel like becoming "sucessful" it's straight up luck based.
The amount of people that are well enough to just drop a lot of money seems to have decreased as well, and the ones that are still around are probably doing for big corpos or GFE chuubas.
