What is the likelihood of Suisei fulfilling her ultimate dream? (Budoukan)

>> No.6067892

>>6067661
If she had joined Nijisanji, she would have tied her fate to Toko, and probably formed a two girl unit with Inui Toko. It would have depended on how much Anycolor and their masters at Sony would have elected to back Tokomachi, but Toko draws 20k audiences on her Utawakus now of days, so I suspect if Tokomachi was a frequent Uta pairing, we'd be seeing some rather crazy concurrent audiences from the two.

TLDR: Toko and Susiei would have leeched one another up to the Budokan, so long as they check the Ensta addiction.

Kanata has range, power, and alot of pitch control but her timbre basically is very thin to nearly non-existent. She basically is support vocalist material, not a lead vocalist.

And frankly, at this stage, I think it isn't a matter of skill that would get Suisei to the Budokan, it would be how well she's marketed, what calibre of music producers she can get and what kind of training Suisei is given. And given this is Cover we are talking about, I'm not confident on that score to be honest.

>> No.6068890

>>6068847
And to add on to my statement, the corporate connection of Suisei's agency also matter a great deal, which is why 2434 might ironically have been in a better poistion. Hot take - Inui Toko would get to the Budokan before Suisei Hoshiyomi.

Wasn't Cover doing some shit with Bushiroad? If she licks Aimi's pussy she might be able to reach Budoukan easily, if she doesn't, it will be just a matter of time, effort and marketing.

>> No.6069550

>>6069497

It's all about access anon, it's all about connections and access to buy that time, direct that effort efficiently and have the marketing to make it count. Once you sell 6k on Oricon, growing any further is all about that. It's not Aimi though Suisei needs to please, it's the music producer cliques she's getting involved in right now. She spent her Next Color Planet cred boost on getting the attention of these people.

>> No.6069638

who do you think is the best singer in hololive?

>> No.6069685

>>6068847
It's why she's recruiting/prospecting for all these producers/composers outside of Cover, and it's starting to show with Ghost/Bluerose. The Taku Inoue collaboration for 3:12 is frankly a big deal because this is definitely an IM@S-related play (Inoue used to write for IM@S) and if the song is successful, Inoue can make a strong pitch for Toy's Factory to throw their hand into the ring of labels wooing her for a long-term album deal.

Suisei songs caters to the majority taste very well. AzKi is good at singing at all types and range but for me im not sure is it because of her breathing/way of singing i felt like a certain time she seems to be grasping for air. Marine is also good at anisongs and okayu with her voice.

>> No.6069767

>>6069685
There's probably a critical inflection point here. If 3:12 succeeds, there's likely a realistic chance we'd see Suisei solve her infamous next song problem by permanently partnering with a producer, if she so chooses.

I think she already grasp she cannot rely on Cover for her music career here, she's got to hustle and network outside Cover to even stand a chance of getting to where she wants.

You can tell by what's she's choosing to shill here in her streams - not her incoming 8th of July song, but 3:12 alongside Blue Rose.

>> No.6069854

>>6069716
I also prefer to listen to Suisei over Azki too, but I have to admit Azki's technique is extremely developed and she does emotive singing at a level no-one else in Hololive can.

Suisei is working down a very different path as a vocalist here, but you can tell in her Utas she's doing her reps at chipping away at her areas of improvement. Azki has already been chisseled into her final form (I really cannot conceive how she could get better with the type of singing she has), Suisei is still a rough diamond in the process of being polished.

Risu could go down that route if she does her reps. Gura needs to land herself a network of strong producers (her mixers being so shitty suggest she doesn't have this network) and vocal coaches to truly progress, for all her natural talent. Only Based Moona is seriously doing her reps properly in my opinion.

I get the feeling Mori might have been the catalyst there too. Suisei is starting to put out a lot more music now than she was before (think of the gap between Next Color Planet and Ghost compared to the gap between Ghost and Blue Rose), and seeing Mori just saddle up and make 2 EPs on her own probably made Suisei realize she's got to do it herself as well.

>> No.6069913

>>6069766
Suisei's style is very populist, but that probably also plays a big part in getting the attention of music producers.

Marine is a solid singer, but not the most oustanding, Okayuu has a very charismatic voice albiet limited range, but she literally exudes sensual teture like no one else in Hololive. Nene in my opinion is the one being slept upon though.

That being said, Sora should just reactivate ALICE, that unit is stacked.

>> No.6069992

So who are the Holos who actually want to be idols and are aiming for Budoukan?

Sora, Suisei, Azki, Aqua, Kanata, Nene. Anyone else?

>> No.6070000

>>6069901
Suisei's next song has always been something her fanbase has been asking since Next Color Planet - Pieces probably was supposed to be the follow up, but we know how it ended.

Suisei's response has been that it's out of her hands, and given she can't exactly compose a tune (Kanata can), she's actually right here. Suisei's been networking heavily since middle last year though, so this isn't a sudden development - InuTaku noticed Suisei in December 2020.

Rushia isn't exactly aiming for the Budokan, but she takes the idol aspect quite seriously, even the singing. I'd put Towa and Flare into the category of being singing focused too. Kanata's aim is to end her music career in a blaze of glory before her ears go.
