I think the most interesting spin to what kind of torture FuwaMoco faced in prison would be neither of them being real. Fuwamoco used to be a guard(dog) for the prison but the stress of working there gave them a mental break that split them in two, all the torture/experiments did was make the separation literal rather than just mental.
