Youtube is not a good platform for anyone who started after mid-2020. You need to already have been big or catch a lucky break with the algo, and after that Susan might decide to fuck you over anyway. Twitch isn't ideal either, but easier monetization, no viewer number bug, an entire vtuber category, and raiding make it more worthwhile for streamers.

The adblock arms-race is some fucked up shit, though. I cannot defend that.
