Feel like the only thing that kept me going is the fact that this is the end of Kiryu's Story. Combat was so unbelievably lackluster because you can boil down every fight to dropkick or quickstep-light-quickstep-light

I really did like the ending though because it's an ending that's very fitting for Kiryu to go off on.

the combat in y games has always been poo though. i only enjoyed it because of the QTEs and heat attacks. that's probably why they decided to experiment with a turn-based system in y7

Combat has always been a bit wonky difficulty wise but Kiryu in 5 was a fucking monster and had a lot of fucking weight behind his attacks. Grabbing people mid combo to punch their spine mid air was always a treat. Kiwami was definitely peak Yakuza Combat with 4 styles and style switching mid attack. Only problem was that Tiger Drop made everything other thing in the game irrelevant.

Only started playing 7 recently and I actually like the combat a lot. Kinda wished they made it so that if you perfect time your regular attack, it did more damage instead of only having that with skills.
