Really disagree desu. Prism and Tsunderia were in an even worse position 3 months ago than Phase or Kawai are at right now. They'll get just as much of a boost from new gens as Prism is getting and things will likely stabilize into a healthy EN vtuber community with lots of collabs across all the various companies.

Unfortunately they all seem kinda terrible at marketing themselves but I'm not sure what can be done that doesn't have potential to backfire. Luto for example works really hard with her shitposting content but it doesn't get much traction and could get her in trouble if she keeps pushing the boundaries for exposure.

I entertained the thought at the time, but they're pulling plenty of viewers and there were lots of complaints here and elsewhere of people getting unsubbed from their channels, so I think it was all pretty organic.
Cyberlive's also getting hit by the same issue now and while it's possible they're buying subs, their numbers are mediocre enough that I doubt it. At this point it's gonna be something that every new gen and agency needs to work around.

Tsunderia definitely has the least funding, but they also have the most well-rounded chuubas. They had the first pick from the talent pool for their first two generations and it shows. Prism has some of the best in certain categories (Iku for GFE, Luto for gremlin chaos, etc.), but Tsunderia chuubas can do pretty much everything well. In terms of versatility, they're at least on Niji EN tier. And judging by Miori signing with them after leaving her previous agency, they must be doing a good job of keeping their chuubas happy. I understand that the JP market is much smaller on twitch and the VOD issue is a bit difficult but the site caters much better to how vtubers perform. It's super easy to send your viewers to a genmate when you're done so retention would be really high. In my experience the chatters bringing twitch culture in are transient ones that are probably coming in from algorithm recs. On youtube they instead backseat games like minecraft and ask personal questions and the like. Either way you get shitters.
