Make it yourself. 3d models can be found on twitter, they're not perfect, but can do the job. UE4 doesn't require programming knowledge, just a head on your shoulders and basic logic. Effects, animations, tutorials on game mechanics and logic - everything can be found online. It'll look cheap but it can be done.

Today was one hell of a celebration for one hell of a dragon. No denying that Coco will forever be associated with the story of Vtubing. Shaking things up, reaching new audiences, inspiring others. As they say, the stars which burn the brightest burn the quickest. She reached her zenith with Hololive and chose to leave before she came down. I gotta respect that and be happy knowing all the girls involved remain close.

RPG Mechanics: A limit break reminiscent systems caused by certain type of idol-type attacks on a stage grid like crono trigger where positioning is highly important.

Fighter mechanics: Each idol as 2 stances, an idol stance and a legend stance. While they vary wildly each stance is based on their character lore and their stream personality respectively. So for instance Mori would switch between a rushdown scythe swinging mid-range and a combo set up long range when rapping. Special move gauge and type switching combos would be a core mechanic.

Lovecraftian games fail for a bit more complicated reason even if you don't have means of fighting the monsters. Lovecraftian horror relies on fear of the unknown. When you brand the game "Lovecraftian horror", it's like having a crowd of people at the entrance of Innsmouth asking the residents where Dagon is and when are fishpeople going to appear while showing reference imagery to confused folk. You completely lose the main point of it. There are successful games that utilize similar style of horror like Bloodborne and Darkwood. Gura/Mori TTRPG session is actually pretty much lovecraftian horror on small scale done right except the MC of the story is not a detective but one of Innsmouth inhabitants.

Most horrors I played and watched are ones with weapons too. Dead Space1-2 are great games as well as some of RE and SH. Gun-less horrors while being scary also don't feel engaging to me and I feel like they all rely on more or less same gimmicks in comparison which end up getting more repetative than more varied gameplay of RE or DS. The general logic I'd say is, fighting is less scary than running. Running is less scary than hiding or being a sitting duck since that's where you heave the least control over the situation.
