YT = Better for Video Editors
Twitch = Better for Streamers
If you want to just want to start streaming, go with Twitch. But if you want to stream after you've built out a lot of vids, or if you primarily like to edit videos go YT.
Eventually you'll have to go to both.

Practice with little 5-10 minute Just Chatting segments before you start a game.
Slowly try to make those longer and longer.

Eventually you'll be able to do an hour of pure blabbing.

Oh, also, if you plan a just chatting stream - TAKE NOTES.
Get a physical notepad, or a .txt file, or an empty Discord server and just write down things you can talk about for like 15 minutes at a time before the stream. If you can write 4 different topics, then boom, you've got an hour long zatsu.
This really helps because sometimes you want to keep talking but you run out of gas on a topic and you're brain is too occupied to remember other talking points/stories/etc.

I did ask in the last thread whether there was something I could do in order to rely less on my chat for zatsudans and the answers I basically got was "nah not really" as long as you have a fair number of active chatters which is fairly likely if you actively engage with your chat in the conversation, it should be completely fine

Another thing I guess you could do is plan something out. Make a theme for a stream and talk about it. Maybe you're into cooking now and are obsessed with it, so just get on twitch and watch a bunch of cooking videos with twitch while talking about this stuff, you could try something like this for example

I'm not that good as some anon mentioned. I have my limits too.
I would say I still think that replying with some slap to something unfair is not bad thing in general.

I'm a bit larger now, and I remember every regular and get really happy when I see people I haven't seen in a while. There are definitely viewers where I would notice and be sad if they stopped showing up. Of course, everyone has their own life, and it's only a stream at the end of the day, but as a small streamer you really get to know everybody. It's not entirely parasocial, there's a genuine social element.

Of course it is possible, anon. I did it. It is a slow process, but you can do it. Want to remove vocal fry? Raise your voice a little and breathe deeper. Want to improve your clarity? Practice enunciation. Want to not mumble? Speak as if your were talking to another person, but confident about the topic. There are all sorts of vocal training exercises for men on YouTube. Fuck, anon. Even true speech impediments can be resolved through speech therapy. You just need to want it hard enough.

Don’t force a deeper voice. You will just end up with vocal fry. Learn to speak from your mask, as they say. Work on your confidence before you work on your voice and things might be easier generally. I don’t mean that to be mean, but as actual advice. Even if you have to fake it, just acting confident is enough to get you into a more optimal voice range. Besides, higher pitched male voices will appeal to specific demographics. I always see people saying they wish they had this or that voice and I won't say that desire is invalid but I will say your voice probably appeals to an audience just fine as-is. thank you for the clear advice! I do think confidence in speaking is my main issue, sometimes while I'm talking I think that I'm annoying my chat and maybe they're thinking "shut up!" so I subconsciously lower my voice, or nervous giggle, and become hard to hear.
