I would go. I want to, but its way too expensive. You need a plus badge to guarantee a ticket for Suisei's event and that's $700 now. And if you didn't get a plus badge and wanted to go both friday and saturday to see both suisei and advent, that's like $400. And all of this doesn't include the price of a ticket to suisei's show.

I'll just wait till next year and get a pass early so the price is reasonable, but I'm sure I'll get fucked over by there not being a hololive event next year.

In fact, Idol Otaku are some of the hardest working people in Japan for this reason. They earn money for their perceived happiness however temporary and shallow.

The same question applies to meet n greets. You get like, what, five minutes? Unless you time it right and rip the most righteous and longest fart into the headphones of the unfortunate Vtuber that you won the lotto for, it's not like you can establish a rapport or anything. It's just like, hi television screen. There's the girl I see on YouTube. She has perceived my existance. Okay bye.
Even if it's a Vtuber you like it's not like you can just talk faster than Weird Al at the hardware store. You have to answer whatever stock questions the Vtuber has.

I spent years by myself passively enjoying my hobby in solitary. As soon as I could go out and enjoy it with other people I jumped at the opportunity. I've been to a few cons and Connect the World. They were all lots of fun. And I'm super hype to see Suisei.

My oshi actually talked a lot about this. A lot of people freeze up or don't know what to talk about, so she has a conversation deck ready. But if you do have something to say just say so at the start and she'll let you talk or ask your questions.

Do you go to any meetups, ever? People just talk about what they like, there's nothing more and nothing less.
Unless you're love live fans, at which point the company tried to get you a girl to fuck. Usually to avail because love live fans aren't into 3DPD.

If you're already going to the con, it isn't going to cost you more to go to these things. You'll have a huge line to wait in and you might miss it if you don't show up early enough to get a good spot in line. Worst case scenario is the meet and greets where you have to win a lottery to get one of the few tickets. But it's never gonna cost you extra.
