The problem there is twofold, one is the VOMS contract itself, and the other is he's got a day job that's more than providing for him. VOMS's contract is basically "You get the model, and keep all non-merch proceeds, I keep the IP and have rights to the merch proceeds", and for him to make a "golden goose" out of that would mean completely restructuring that.

Add to that that trying to monetize VOMS as a primary mode of income is a risk I don't see a smart person taking.
