The current issue with OBS VOD tracks, does that mean I can't use Twitch's Soundtrack, as that needs to be set-up in a VOD track; or is that handled Twitch-side, and I can use St fine?

Or is the issue fixed? I've not seen anything, but can't see much discussion on it online, only on Twitter, plebbit, and the OBS forums

What would you guys say is the minimum I need in streams?

I've got my OBS set up like attached. I've not got an overlay, but I've got a background behind everything, and the pop-ups on top, so would you say an overlay is *needed*?

I dislike being unable to see parts of the screen, especially in games with loads of data, so I didn't want to cover anything up. But I dunno if that's standard or not, I see a lot of chuubas have loads of crap over the top of game display.

Depending on the game you could also do this with the right side cut off a bit. works ok for minecraft. You could even have the chat pop up as transparent chat messages and overlay the game window too so it isn't really in the way. What you're doing can just be in the title or description. has any vtuber played with a 4:3 game resolution yet? it seems like a natural way to have enough room for chat on the side of the screen without cropping the game or resizing the game and wasting space on a frame.
on a 1080p monitor, you could play in 1440x1080 and have 480 pixels of horizontal space to the right of your game footage for your avatar and the chat box.

older games were developed for 4:3 anyways, while in first person games, 4:3 generally provides the advantage of having more vertical space, which is good for most players, since everyone tends to neglect looking up/down more than they neglect turning around.
