My own roadmap file has notes for things that are quite a ways out. If I tried to make a roadmap though, it would likely be subject to change. For the Choco and mel encounter for example, that's gonna happen in a more spooky setting arc, which ideally would happen AFTER Lamy comes into the mix. That said though, I could easily change my mind based on how things look at the time of the next thing. It's fun to go through this file from time to time and see the things I jotted down for way later.
I keep my outline of the Lamy arc prologue chapter all the way at the end, I'm so insanely looking forward to that arc.

I was thinking more like adding some more descriptive language, editing some paragraphs, switching sentences up, and things like that. Nothing outrageous, more like simply giving it some more meat and connective tissue.
The series was never planned as a series, it started as a one-shot and I wrote a sequel basically at request, which turned into two when I realized that I'd need another part to close out their relationship. There are bumps there in the series (at least to my eyes) as a result of that ad hocness. Like I wish I had brought up Anon's work stuff in CfaC. But again, never planned on it becoming a series, so there's no real rectifying that without the power of time travel. Hence, the whole "remastering" notion. All of this is certainly all in my head but hey, it is what it is.

I don't think I ever will "remaster" it, mind you. Doing something like that is almost like opening Pandora's Box. Once I cross that line then nothing is ever truly "done". If this was print, what I published is the definitive version. Besides, I would rather use that energy on a new WIP.

I've wanted to do something involving fucking Subaru and/or Ayame behind Mio's back for a bit now. I shared one in that vein before where (You) are Mio's new college-aged neighbour who she constantly daydreams about, so much so that she completely misses the obvious signs that you are rawdogging Shuba and Yammers damn near every chance you get. But recently I came up with an outline for something kinda like that.

Grim alternate reality where Hololive is a real life idol agency instead of a vtuber company. For this kind of story, the only happy ending I'd like Mio to have (though that's just me) is when she fully realizes just how terrible she's been treating Subaru and then trying her absolute hardest to mend the broken bridge. Of course whether that would make Subaru forgive Mio or not would be up to whoever wrote the story.

I know I shouldn't be taking things like this seriously as its just a fanfic at the end of the day, but I just can't help myself and it makes me genuinely "dislike" Mio (although I hate Subaru more but mostly due to her voice).

Media of different types. Balsa is largely influenced by Claymore and the chapter with the organ eater monster was actually inspired by an episode of Invader Zim that I watched before writing it. I had a completely different line of plot before I watched it in fact. The Organ Eater was also influenced by the design of Ododragon from Monster Hunter World.

I know I should probably read more but reading is exhausting so I rarely do.

I'd say your fights were easy enough to follow with multiple actors in them. I think by nature of the gifts things might be a tiny bit faced paced, but that feels like the intent. Another piece of feedback I have with the gifts in terms of how you write them in combat is that a few seem a little too versatile. Iroha's for example can come off as almost too convenient when her element of bubbles is able to be molded to slice through rock. I think for the type of situation that caused her to do that, you could default to their physical strength and precision to act as the counter. A sharp bubble is kinda a hard thing for me to picture, could be a skill issue on my part though.
I will say as one person who likes to get creative with elements to another, you're clearly having fun with it, and that's great.
Only other critique I might have is that Mel is coming off as too OP so far. I'll wait to see what you cook, but she's coming off as too untouchable which can lead to the potential resolution you might have in mind feeling a tad forced or unbelievable. I know she's supposed to be top tier strong, but she's slapped everyone around enough and laughed as she strolled away making her a prime target of her own hubris, which can be a hit or miss end.
Anon using that two spear style is neat, but also get him using his new lion parts. It's too big a change for just looks.

Yeah I see what I mean. I forgot that before when I had her do this, I had her stretch it with effort like how someone would do it with dough, that was the kneecap. It was a bit to instantaneous.

It was such a fun thing to write. Before going into this, I watched a lot of squash fights for example Aizen vs the goeti 13, Gappy vs Wonder of U and Utsaro vs Gintama which is what influenced this fight to be as it was. I was going for Mel being invincible (or seemingly so). I'll also make sure to make the lion parts add to the combat, I never really thought about it while writing.

What you've watched recently actually explains a lot of that. Since you're self admitted to be heavily influenced by what you consume around the time of writing, it makes a lot of sense that it goes that way. While the earlier fights within that series had a lot of finesse and back and forth, when it got to that point Kubo was just getting full wild with it, which can be stupidly fun, but you sometimes need to be expecting it. Either way, the fast pace at which the action happened was resolved worked. You got The Heart brain dude. While as a spectacle, everything involving aizen was cool, the entire dude and his powers was basically a tool for Kubo to let his inner most author shitposting loose.

I think I say this every time someone posts about femboy!aqua but that concept just feels wrong.
