Frankly, if they mention it on stream, I drop them. I don’t want to hear it, at all. You can have a relationship and not tell the audience about it so long as you’re not doing GFE. Being female, interesting, somewhat into anime, and able to put up with vtuber fans is a rare enough combination that I don’t mind these people having bfs/husbands behind the scenes…as long as they don’t consciously try to make their audience fall in love with them for donations.
And most vtubers aren’t GFEtubers so they’re fine. But they are supposed to act somewhat like an anime girl, and the vast majority of anime characters regardless of gender are single for a reason.
